- 금개구리(Pelophylax chosenicus) 최대 이동거리에 관한 보고 -
금개구리 최대이동거리를 측정하기 위하여 전라북도 완주군의 만경강 일대에서 무선추적법을 이용하여 연 구를 수행하였다. 금개구리 암컷 3개체에 무선발신기를 부착하였지만, 1개체는 발신기가 탈거되어 이동거리를 측정하지 못했다. 2017년 7월 7일에 부착하여 5일 후 한 개체는 240.5m, 나머지 한 개체는 85.5m 떨어진 곳에서 발견되었다. 금개구리의 최대 이동거리로 알려진 132.1m보다 108.4m 더 이동하였고, 지금까지 확인된 이동 거리 중 가장 멀리 이동한 사례이다. 대체서식지를 조성할 때 최대 이동거리는 대체서식지의 규모, 대체서 식지 간의 거리 등을 계획하는데 매우 중요한 요인이 다. 개체 혹은 상황에 따라 먼 거리를 이동하는 사례도 확인하였기 때문에 대체서식지 조성 및 환경정책 제안 할 때 이 사례도 적용해야 할 것이다.
Maximum travel distance of Pelophylax chosenicus
To estimate the maximum travel distance of Pelophylax chosenicus, radio telemetry was used, and the study was conducted in the Mangyeong River, Wanju area. For the monitoring, three females of P. chosenicus were used; however, only two females were successfully tracked due to detachment of a transmitter from one individual. Five days after releasing, two individuals moved 240.5m and 85.5m, respectively. The distance 240.5m is the maximum travel distance which ever recorded by P. chosenicus in S. Korea, and is 108.4m farther than the previous record. The maximum travel distance is one of important factors for determining artificial habitat of size and distances between habitats. Even though this result is rare case, it is substantially important and should be considered when planing artificial habitat and suggesting environmental policies.
