- 남병산 내 임도 주변의 양서ㆍ파충류 분포 특성 -
다양한 산림지역에 임도 등의 산간도로가 건설되는데, 이러한 도로는 해당 인근지역 내 야생동물의 분포에 영 향을 준다. 본 연구는 남병산에 건설된 임도 주변 양서 ·파충류의 분포특성을 파악하고자 수행되었다. 임도 주 변에서 양서류는 2목 4과 5종이 3월부터 5월 사이에 관 찰되었고, 도롱뇽과 무당개구리는 가장 고지대인 900m 까지 관찰되었다. 임도 변 양서류의 분포는 임도 가장자 리에 형성된 일시적인 웅덩이와 관련된 것으로 사료된 다. 파충류는 1목 3과 5종이 관찰되었고, 상대적으로 601m에서 900m 고도 사이에서 고른 분포를 보였다. 누 룩뱀이 가장 넓은 고도분포범위를 보였으며, 이는 먹이 원이 되는 임도 변의 소형설치류의 분포와 관련된 것으 로 보인다. 본 연구는 국내 최초의 임도와 관련된 양서 ·파충류 연구로 임도의 가장자리 서식지가 양서·파충류 의 번식 및 분포에 중요한 기능을 가질 수 있다는 것을 보여준다.
Characteristics of Amphibian and Reptile Distribution on or near Forest Roads in the Mt. Nambyeong
Mountain roads such as forest roads which constructed in forests affect the presence of various wildlifes in near areas. This study was conducted to verify the characteristics of amphibian and reptile distribution on or near forest roads in Mt. Nambyeong. In the study, five amphibian species were found between March and May. Hynobius leechii and Bombina orientalis were confirmed to the highest altitude, over 900m. The distribution of amphibians seems to be associated with the presence of temporal pools along the edge of forest roads. We also listed five reptiles species and most species were found relatively evenly between 601m to 900m altitude. Elaphe dione showed the broadest altitudinal distribution and it might be related with the presence of prey rodents along the roads. In summary, our results as the first study on amphibians and reptiles on forest roads in South Korea showed that habitats along the edge of forest roads seems play an important role in the breeding and inhabits of amphibians and reptiles.
